Overcoming Barriers (previously know as Cirencester Dyslexia Centre) has an established and proven record of identifying and meeting the needs of primary-aged children with barriers to learning and life skills through Assessments and Teaching.
Its teacher, Marion Craven, is a fully qualified, experienced specialist (dyslexia) teacher, who herself is dyslexic and dyspraxic, and has a family with additional needs. She has:

a BEd in primary education (1990)

a Postgraduate Diploma in Dyslexia and Literacy through Dyslexia Action, formally known as Dyslexia Institute (2005)

a Masters with distinction in SEN and Inclusion (2010)

a SENCo Award (2011).
She has experience of:

25+ years working as a primary school teacher / specialist teacher / SENCo

training teachers and teaching assistants within schools and on a postgraduate dyslexia course

a two-year in-school phonic project with the British Dyslexia Association.
She is an ‘active’ Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) —demonstrating up-to-date knowledge in teaching and assessment. She has an online DBS, professional insurances and membership of the Dyspraxia Foundation.
Marion uses an individual approach to teach a range of needs and has an excellent and proven track record.
